Important Cities to Visit in Spain
Madrid is Spain’s capital city, it’s very modern in addition to its historic feel thanks to the amazing buildings you’ll come across. With a vibrant nightlife and a great shopping district, Madrid is the ideal destination if you’re looking to shop ‘til you drop and party all night.
Spain’s second largest city is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations. Whether you’ve booked your vacation through Voyage Prive Spain or another provider you’ve probably seen a few advertisements about Barcelona. With parts of the city that were built by the Romans, some very unique dishes and a lot of culture, Barcelona is well worth a visit.
What to See and Do in Spain
Sunbathe on the Costa Del Sol
While you’re in Spain you may want to head to the Costa Del Sol and enjoy a bit of sunbathing. The beaches in this part of the world are some of the most famous in Spain for their laid-back attitude and generally just being beautiful places to work on your tan.
Visit the Guggenheim Museum
Spain’s Guggenheim Museum is an incredible place to be even if you’re not a museum lover. Found in Bilbao and full of old and new exhibits the museum is well worth a visit if you want to soak up a bit of culture.
Where to Eat in Spain
Regardless of which city you choose to spend your time in you’re likely to find that sandwiches and tapas cost somewhere between 3 and 7 Euros. A meal in a restaurant may cost you approximately 13 Euros, but prices could be higher depending on the restaurant in question. Please note that restaurants in the city centers tend to charge a little more. If you want to enjoy some fast food you could pay around 7 Euros. However, if you would like to buy food from one of the local markets then you should expect to pay a reasonably cheap price for everything you buy.
Getting Around – using public transport in Spain
Spanish transportation is usually quite good. Price wise, if you want to take a trip on a bus or the city metro you could pay somewhere between 1 and 3 Euros per trip. However, trains can be quite expensive with a fare costing anywhere between 50 and 140 Euros depending on where you need to be. Overnight buses tend to be the cheapest option so you may want to consider those if you have far to travel.
