We stayed one night here on our way through Yorkshire. Location is wonderful as it is in the heart of Harrogate. The hotel was lovely and the room was really nice - no view out of the window but that is not typically how we rate a hotel based on one night stay there anyway. We ate in the restaurant - the Fat Badger - and the food was wonderful. The bar area is also a lot of fun. We were lucky that we found a parking space in their garage as they do warn you that parking is limited. Overall a great stay and would stay there again.

Very convenient location adjacent to the Petergate in York. Fantastic living space with windows. Great kitchen and laundry facilities. Had a great Welcome Basket from property management with many products from local York business. Such a great touch! Very close to the Minster, the Shambles, and Yorkshire museum/museum gardens/St. Mary's Abbey. Car park is only a block away. Also, the fantastic Minster Inn with their incredible beers and excellent pizza was just a few blocks away (outside the walls).

Attended a wedding at Sedgewell Barn, Hotel was right on the doorstep so location was spot on. Its also in perfect location for exploring further afield in Yorkshire. Host was very accommodating. Breakfast was excellent quality and well presented. Lovely bedroom with wonderful walk in shower, everything we wanted for our short break. Although I never sampled the evening menu from what I saw and smelt I really felt that I had missed out, will have to go back and small the menu.

Well equipped apartment including excellent and easy to use shower. Comfortable and light with great view from end window. Off-road parking outside the front door. Down stairs room great if you are walking etc as you can hang up coats and store boots. That area also has the washing machine and another sink. Apartment is well located in Ilkley . Short walk to Tesco store and railway station plus all the local shops including a branch of Bettys, the legendary Yorkshire tearooms.

A wonderful Country House Hotel set on the outskirts of Burythorpe - North Yorkshire - Hotel was spotlessly clean and very comfortable in all areas - Excellent staff with a special mention for Jill and Alison the Manager who is passionate about good customer service and this shines through in all departments - Cuisine was excellent with good choices for all meals and well prepared and presented. - Good selection of drinks from the bar at sensible prices

Great value Hotel accommodation in the Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Lovely spacious room with tea/coffee making facilities and iron/ironing board. Fantastic view over the cricket ground, definitely not overlooked ! Big comfortable beds and black-out curtains. Very secure parking and lots of it. A 24/7 manned barrier as security to the entrance. About 15 mins walk to centre of town and 5 mins to Headingley shops and pubs.

The hotel was well positioned with off road parking in front. Room was lovely and had all the little essentials for a comfortable stay including a room fan, which was appreciated. Rachel was always happy to help and was very attentive to all details. A lovely cooked breakfast and a good variety of choices. Would thoroughly recommend a visit and hope to visit Yorkshire and the Cocketts Hotel in the future. Karen and Phillip

The location and setting are excellent as is the ambience of the hotel. The only drawback is the lack of decent restaurants in the area if you are unable to book a meal at the hotel which we were not because of the lateness of our booking. The staff are quintessential “Yorkshire”,friendly, accommodating and a pleasure to be with. Needless to say I’m an “expat”. Well done everyone involved with the hotel.

Spotless room, lovely bathroom, very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. We ate both evening in the bar and the food was good value and very tasty. The room had a lovely sea view. The bed was comfortable, and the whirlpool bath was an added bonus. We will definitely return and highly recommend The Claxton Hotel as a great base for the North Yorkshire coast 👍

Perfect location!! On to the seafront in no time at all!! Absolutely beautiful apartment and was ideal for a small family like us. Our little boy has multiple food allergies so eating out on holiday isn't always that simple so going for a self-catered aparthotel like this was the perfect solution. We have family in Yorkshire so will definitely be booking here again!!

The hotel room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The views were incredible and our daughter loved seeing the piglets being fed in the morning! Breakfast was home cooked and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be booking again in future as it was so peaceful. The perfect place to unwind, but within easy reach of the lovely North Yorkshire seaside resorts.

Located in the centre of Thirsk within easy walking distance to all amenities and the superb North Yorkshire countryside. Geoff is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and beyond. We slept well in a comfortable well presented room, ate a hearty full English breakfast each morning, and look forward to returning to the Hotel again in the summer.

Many thanks again to the staff at The Cow & Calf Hotel. I had another lovely stay and could not be more happy with my room and the overall cleanliness during my stay. This visit I had breakfast which was Delicious and a very hearty cooked breakfast. I hope to stay again at the beginning of October when I am next in Yorkshire……Many Thanks once again.

Excellent food, we had dinner and breakfast. High quality products, very well presented and delicious. The hotel was very clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is great for beautiful country walks in the Yorkshire dales. The village has a few pubs and lots of cafes, galleries etc. Really pretty village.

Basically..... EVERYTHING!! The hotel was clean, the staff were wonderful, very welcoming and friendly, the food was magnificent and we will definitely be making a return trip. If you are looking for a base to explore Yorkshire you couldn't go wrong with the Beansheaf Hotel, we couldn't recommend it highly enough.

The whole hotel was beautiful. Our room had the most amazing view over the Yorkshire dales. The staff were brilliant, accommodating and easy to talk too. The waiter was lovely as was the bar man. My sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and I am really fussy about my sirloin steak. Highly recommend Simonstone Hall Hotel.

I was walking the Pennine Way and the location was right on the route. Central location in the small town of Hawes and would make a perfect base for exploring the surraounding Yorkshire Dales. Breakfast was very good and the hotel eating rota worked extremely well whilst covid restrictions were in place in May 2021

We changed rooms as our initial room was very dark and gloomy (as usual travellers requiring single beds get the least well appointed rooms!) - however the room was changed with the minimum of fuss and maximum goodwill. Hotel was comfortable, centrally located and breakfast was very good and Yorkshire tea perfect.

Cute and cosy Hotel and Restaurant, the latter well-loved by the locals. It was really lovely mingeling with them in the evenings. Very welcoming and friendly staff, the manager (owner?) is an angel! Great place to stay when exploring the Yorkshire Dales or visiting your child at nearby Giggleswick School.

A lovely hotel, an ex Coach house full of history and character. The staff were very efficient and helpful. The breakfast (Full Yorkshire) was excellent. The location is both perfect and a negative. Perfect for travellers on a long journey who need to break up their journey and stopover near the A19.
