Planning Your Dog Friendly Cotswolds Itinerary
There are a few things to think about when planning your doggie-friendly vacation.
Check Vet Records: Before you go, make sure your dog’s vaccinations are up-to-date. A quick call to the vet is never a bad idea. I’d also make sure their tick and flea treatment is up to date too, just in case!
Pet Insurance: I can’t stress this enough—get your pup insured. Accidents happen and you want to be prepared.
Pack Wisely: Besides your dog’s food, remember to pack a portable water bowl, plenty of poop bags, favorite toys, a dog towel for all the mud, and a cozy blanket. Comfort is key, right?
Keep Them Leashed: The Cotswolds is home to lots of livestock. Keep your dog on a leash in those areas to avoid any potential incidents. There are plenty of places to let your dog run free, but it’s important to respect the rules and regulations.
Dog-Friendly Attractions in Cotswolds
Bourton-on-the-Water: Bourton-on-the-Water is often called the Venice of the Cotswolds and is super dog-friendly. Your pup can frolic near the shallow river, and you can enjoy a lovely cuppa at one of the open-air cafes. The calm waters are perfect for your dog to splash around in.
