I couldn’t not have a section on travel, health, and wellbeing on my travel blog.
For me, as a long term traveler it is so important for me to stay healthy because getting sick or having and accident abroad is not only incredibly stressful, it’s also inconvenient and can end up being very (very) expensive, especially if you don’t have insurance!
Plus I’m a yogi and wanted somewhere to put all my yoga blog post…
On this page you are going to find lots of blog posts about yoga, healthy eating, fitness, and of course insurance.
Like most other travel bloggers I do recommend World Nomads, and not just because I get a nice payout if you book through my link (which is nice of course). I recommend them because they are the best, they aren’t the cheapest, but it is the most flexible plan you will find if you are wondering the globe long term without any real plan.
However I must admit, now I’m a little more stable and not jet setting so much I am now using Safety Wing Digital Nomad insurance. For me right now they are the best (and cheapest option. I just pay a monthly premium and there is no long term contract, I can cancel at anytime.
I wrote up a thorough review of both, which you can read here.
The best long term travel insurance for Backpackers and Digital Nomads

Hi I’m Claire!
At 34 I sold all my worldly possessions that wouldn’t fit into 3 boxes or my backpack and hit the road.
I started Claire’s Itchy Feet to inspire women to pack their bags and travel more. With no plans to stop anytime soon I’m always looking for my next adventure be it attempting to surf or climbing a volcano I’ll try (almost) anything once!
