Wondering “Does Amazon deliver to Mexico?” Well, the short answer is yes, Amazon offers Mexico shopping. In fact, Amazon has its own Amazon Mexico store where you can shop online completely independently. After living in Mexico for the best part of four years, I’ve done my fair share of Amazon shopping online Mexico (also known as Amz Mexico online).

Did You Get Travel Insurance Yet?

The Insurance companies I recommend are Hey Mondo and Safety Wing

Hey Mondo is great if you are looking for a great value flexible policy. They offer single-trip cover, annual multi-trip cover, and long-term travel cover. Safety Wing is great value, with monthly coverage starting at $45.08. It’s super easy to use, and it just renews each month. I currently use them as they offer me free cover for my son as part of my policy.

Is There Amazon in Mexico?

Yes, not only does Amazon deliver in Mexico, but Amazon offers Mexico-specific shops and deals. The Amazon shopping online Mexico selection is more limited than what you’ll find in the UK or USA. However, Amz Mexico online shopping is great when you need a fast and convenient option, and Amazon offers Mexico residents an easy way to shop online.

Does Amazon Ship to Mexico From the USA?

The short answer to “Does Amazon ship to Mexico from the USA?” is yes. The longer answer is yes: Amazon offers Mexico shipping from the US, but it’s probably not worth it most of the time. I tried so many times to order from Amazon US to Mexico, but either the delivery, the tax, or both were crazy expensive! So, Amazon shopping online Mexico was never worth it for me—especially if you’re not familiar with Amazon returns store Mexico policies.

It’s always worth looking into Amz Mexico online, as you might just get lucky! Whenever I found something on Amazon US that I couldn’t find on the Amazon Mexico or Amazon Prime Mexico store, I’d just send it to a friend or family member who I knew was traveling to Mexico soon and ask them to bring it down for me.

How is Amazon in Mexico Different From Amazon US?

The main difference between Amazon Mexico and Amazon US is the availability of items and content, plus the shipping speeds. You can shop for everything from clothes and beauty products to home goods and tools on Amazon Mexico. There are fewer item options than Amazon US offers, but there’s still plenty to choose from while Amazon shopping online Mexico.

Is Amazon in Mexico Available in English?

Does Amazon Deliver To Mexico? Amazon Mexico Shopping Guide

The short answer is no, Amazon offers Mexico shops in Spanish only. But there are some workarounds to get Amazon Mexico in English, like using Google Translate on your laptop or desktop computer.

That said, you can still search for products on Amazon Mexico in English! This is pretty much what I did 90% of the time when ordering from Amazon Mexico. I’d see the Spanish name for what I was searching for, and then I’d copy and paste it to run the search again in Spanish.

I personally found it much easier to learn a few important words in Spanish so I could be confident while Amazon online shopping Mexico:

Importación: “Importation” means the item is being imported from another country.

Envío: “Shipping,” which refers to the delivery method and time.

Producto: “Product,” which is what you’re looking to buy.

Disponible: “Available,” to check if the item is in stock.

Garantía: “Warranty,” to understand the product’s guarantee policy.

In addition, using the Amz Mexico online customer reviews can be a great help. Many products have reviews in English, which can provide valuable insights about the item you’re interested in. Even if the main interface is in Spanish, these reviews can guide you in making a more informed decision so you don’t have to stress about the Amazon returns store Mexico.

Another tip is to familiarize yourself with Amazon’s standard layout and icons. Since Amazon’s website structure is similar across countries, once you know where to find key elements like the search bar, cart, and account settings, navigating becomes easier, even if it’s in a different language.

Lastly, if you ever encounter difficulties or have specific questions, Amazon Mexico’s customer service can be quite helpful. Amazon offers Mexico representatives who speak English and can assist you with your inquiries.

How To Order From Amazon Mexico

Turn on Google Translate

First, I suggest turning on Google Translate so you can shop Amazon Mexico in English rather than translating everything manually.

Create an Amazon Mexico Account

Start Shopping

After this, you’re ready to start Amazon shopping online Mexico! You can browse items like you normally do on Amazon US since the Amz Mexico online interface is virtually identical.

Set Up Preferred Payment Methods and Delivery Address

Amazon offers Mexico shipping so once you’re ready to checkout, you’ll be able to input your payment method and delivery address. Ensure to properly fill out every field to ensure efficient deliveries with no delays. If you’ve opted to set up an account, you’ll be able to save this info for faster checkouts.

Shipping and Delivery Options on Amazon Mexico

Does Amazon Deliver in Mexico Just Like the US?

Standard Amazon shipping to Mexico can take around seven business days, while priority shipping can deliver in as fast as five. Amazon offers Mexico expedited shipping, which is faster than standard but slower than priority, is also available at times.

Is Amazon in Mexico Shipping Reliable?

Yes, Amazon Mexico shipping is generally reliable, especially if someone can receive the package in person. I found that in some places, the delivery driver will actually call you up to check if you are in and ask for directions.

This happened all the time in Playa del Carmen, but never in Guadalajara when I lived there, so it really just depends. Also, this is a nightmare situation if you don’t speak Spanish. When that happens just say “WhatsApp” several times to the driver and then send them a message constructed on Google Translate via WhatsApp. Always worked for me!

Return and Customer Service Support

Most items from Amazon Mexico can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. This depends on individual Amazon returns store Mexico policies, so it’s best to confirm before placing any orders through Amz Mexico online. It’s not as easy as sending returns on Amazon US or UK, and it often takes a lot longer.

Does Amazon Prime Work in Mexico?

Does Amazon Deliver To Mexico? Amazon Mexico Shopping Guide

If you have a US Amazon Prime membership and you’re going to Mexico, you can still use it, but there are some differences to keep in mind. Firstly, you can watch shows and movies on Amazon Prime Video in Mexico.

However, the content Amazon offers Mexico Prime members might be different because of different licensing rules for each country. This means some shows and movies from the US might not be available in Mexico. I did find that my VPN worked sometimes for streaming Amazon US videos, but not always. On the flipside, sometimes Amazon offers Mexico shows and movies you won’t find in the US or UK.

Regarding shipping, your free shipping benefits from the US won’t work on the Mexican Amazon site (Amazon.com.mx). If you want free shipping within Mexico, you must sign up for a Mexican Amazon Prime membership.

Other Prime features like Prime Music and Prime Reading might not work or could be limited in Mexico. So, if you use Amazon a lot while in Mexico, it might be a good idea to get a separate Prime membership for Mexico, especially for shipping benefits. But if you’re only there for a short time, you can still use your US Prime membership to watch videos and other online services where they are available.

Some of the perks of an Amazon Prime Mexico membership include free shipping, ad-free music, Prime Video, and exclusive offers for Prime members only.

Does Mexico Have Amazon Prime Video?

Check for Daily Deals and Lightning Deals

Like Amazon US, Mexico’s version of Amazon offers special daily and lightning deals that run for a short period. If you’ve had your eye on something, take note of Amazon Mexico discounts and use them to your advantage.

Opt for Amazon Gift Cards

One of the most secure ways to shop on Amazon Mexico is with a gift card. Amazon gift cards are a good option if you plan to exclusively shop on Amazon. If you want the option to shop at other online stores, it’s best to stick with another payment method.

Consider Amazon Global Store

Another option for online shopping in Mexico is the Amazon Global Store. The Global Store lets you shop for international products which are shipped and sold from a foreign country. I recommend browsing the Amazon Global Store if you’re struggling to find a specific item.

Is There Amazon in Mexico? FAQs

🇲🇽 Does Amazon Ship to Mexico?

Yes, Amazon does ship to Mexico. When I was living in Mexico, I often ordered items from Amazon, and they were delivered to my address there. Just make sure to check the availability of the product you want to order and the shipping options to Mexico during the checkout process.

📦 Can Amazon Ship to Mexico for Free?

Yes, Amazon does offer free shipping to Mexico on certain orders. However, it’s important to note that the eligibility for free shipping may vary depending on the item, its price, and whether it’s fulfilled by Amazon or a third-party seller.

During my time in Mexico, I found that some items, especially those fulfilled by Amazon and part of the “Amazon Global Store” program, often came with free shipping options. These typically have a minimum purchase requirement to qualify for free shipping.

Additionally, if you’re an Amazon Prime Mexico member, you may be eligible for free or discounted shipping on select items to Mexico. Prime membership in Mexico can be quite convenient, especially if you plan to order frequently.

💲How Much Does Amazon Shipping to Mexico Cost?

The cost of shipping from Amazon to Mexico can vary widely depending on several factors:

Item Type: The shipping cost can depend on the type of item you’re ordering. Some items, especially those fulfilled by Amazon and part of the “Amazon Global Store” program, may offer lower shipping fees or even free shipping for qualifying orders.

Shipping Speed: Faster shipping options, such as express or expedited shipping, usually come with higher costs. If you’re not in a hurry to receive your items, you can often choose standard shipping, which is more affordable.

Item Weight and Size: Heavier and larger items may incur higher shipping fees due to their increased shipping costs.

Seller: If you’re purchasing from a third-party seller on Amazon, the shipping costs may vary depending on the seller’s policies.

Amazon Prime: If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you may have access to free or discounted shipping on select items, significantly reducing your overall shipping costs.

To get an accurate estimate of the shipping cost for a specific item or order, I recommend adding the items to your Amazon cart and proceeding to the checkout. During the checkout process, Amazon will display the shipping options and costs for your order based on the items you’ve selected and your shipping address in Mexico. This way, you can see the exact cost before finalizing your purchase.

⏳ How Long Does Amazon Shipping to Mexico Take?

The shipping time for Amazon orders to Mexico can vary depending on several factors:

1. Shipping Method: The shipping speed you choose during the checkout process will have a significant impact on the delivery time. Amazon typically offers options like standard shipping, two-day shipping, and express shipping. Faster shipping methods will result in quicker delivery but may incur higher costs.

2. Item Availability: The availability of the item you’re ordering can affect shipping time. Items that are in stock and fulfilled by Amazon are usually shipped more quickly than those offered by third-party sellers.

3. Location: Your specific location in Mexico can also influence shipping times. Major cities and urban areas often have quicker delivery options compared to more remote or rural locations.

4. Customs Clearance: For international orders, including those to Mexico, customs clearance can add additional time to the delivery process. This can vary depending on the item and local customs procedures.

5. Amazon Prime: If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you may have access to faster shipping options on eligible items. Prime Two-Day Shipping, for example, is a popular choice for quick deliveries.

To get a precise estimate of the delivery time for your specific order, I recommend checking the estimated delivery date provided during the checkout process. Amazon usually provides a delivery window based on your selected shipping method and location.

I personally found that things arrived one day before they told me they would in about 80% of my Amazon Prime orders. But at the same time, I did have several orders come late.

🛎️ Can Amazon Deliver to Mexico Hotels?

Yes, Amazon can deliver to hotels in Mexico. This can be particularly convenient for travelers, including families like yours who enjoy exploring different places. Here’s how it generally works:

1. Shipping Address: When placing an order on Amazon, you can specify the shipping address. In this case, you would provide the hotel’s address as the shipping address.

2. Hotel Information: It’s important to provide accurate and complete information, including the hotel’s name, your name (the guest’s name), and any additional details the hotel may require for receiving packages. You can often include this information in the “Address Line 2” field or special instructions during the checkout process.

3. Communication with Your Hotel: It’s a good idea to inform the hotel’s front desk or reception about your incoming package. This helps ensure they know the delivery and can hold the package for you until your arrival.

4. Timing: Make sure to time your order to arrive during your stay at the hotel. Check with the hotel about their policies regarding package deliveries and any fees they may charge for receiving and holding packages on your behalf.

5. Tracking: You can use Amazon’s tracking feature to monitor the progress of your order and confirm its delivery to the hotel.

Remember that it’s essential to coordinate with the hotel in advance and understand their procedures for receiving packages. Some hotels have specific requirements or fees for handling deliveries. Additionally, ensure that your name and reservation details are correctly provided to avoid any confusion.

It’s also really important to give a phone number if possible, as drivers will often call or text you ahead of delivery. I found in Playa del Carmen that they always called before delivery to ask for directions. In Guadalajara, meanwhile, they didn’t really call, so it depends on the location.

That said, due to licensing restrictions, much of the content you can access in the USA may not be available on Amazon Mexico.
