Did You Get Travel Insurance Yet?

The Insurance companies I recommend are Hey Mondo and Safety Wing

Hey Mondo is great if you are looking for a great value flexible policy. They offer single-trip cover, annual multi-trip cover, and long-term travel cover. Safety Wing is great value, with monthly coverage starting at $45.08. It’s super easy to use, and it just renews each month. I currently use them as they offer me free cover for my son as part of my policy.

Read my full travel insurance post here, where I go into detail about all companies.

Best Beach Club Playa del Carmen

One of the best beach clubs in Playa del Carmen for partying is Coralina Daylite Club. Playa Coralina is the go-to beach club in Playa del Carmen for those wanting to party on the beach in Playa. If you have a larger group, it’s best to reserve your space in advance here as it’s a famous Playa del Carmen beach club for bachelor and bachelorette parties.

Coralina Beach Club Playa del Carmen is modeled after famous Ibiza and Vegas pool parties. Expect great music, multiple pools, beach access, and the best pool party in Playa del Carmen!

can be booked online 48 hours beforehand. The club is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and is next to the Grand Hyatt.

Address: Calle 26 and The Beach, Playa del Carmen

Quick Tip: I highly recommend booking all of your Mexico transportation with GottoGo. You can search for buses, shuttles, ferries, and Flights on their website. What I love most about them is their customer service. I know these guys personally from living in Guatemala, and they look after their customers.

If anything happens and you get delayed and miss your bus, you can just call them, and they are always there to help. If you book through them, you will pay a little more than booking in person at the bus station. But it’s worth it for the ease and security. Click here to search for transportation in Mexico.

Corasol Beach Club (Grand Coral Beach Club)

The Best Beach Clubs Playa del Carmen

Among the best beach clubs in Playa del Carmen, Corasol is my favorite because it’s further from the central beach area. This Playa del Carmen beach club is reasonably priced and has a pool. It’s not the largest beach club Playa del Carmen is home to, so arrive early to get a bed by the pool. The last time I visited, the minimum spend was just 250 pesos, which typically works out to be a meal and an alcoholic drink or two soft drinks.

There are a few different ways to get here, but you must use some kind of transportation. You can bike, drive, or take a taxi.

Address: Carretera Federal Nº307, Cancun Chetumal K.m 294, Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico

Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Best Beach Clubs Playa del Carmen

Another strong contender for the best beach club Playa del Carmen is , located outside the main tourist area. Encanto Beach Club Playa del Carmen is unique in the frequency of events and activities. On weekends, you’ll find artisan markets—there are always fitness activities and volleyball games going on, too.

There’s a minimum spend to use a sun lounger (typically 300 pesos), which can increase if you want a four-poster bed. There’s no pool here, but there is a spa where you can get a great massage!

Address: Zazil-ha, 77720 Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico

Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

QUICK TIP: Book your tours, rental cars, and transfers through my local contacts

I’ve been working with Living Dreams Mexico for years and they are who I send all my family and friends to when they visit the Riviera Maya. I really can recommend them enough for private tours and experiences. They have solid 5* reviews on Trip Advisor and Google from almost 4000 reviewers! You can view all their tours here.

If you’re looking for private airport transfers and rental cars then Vanessa and Oliver from Turismo Channel are personal friends of mine and I can 100% recommend them to make an inquiry click here and complete the form. Someone will be in touch within 24 hours.

While I haven’t spent a full day at INTI Beach Club, it’s often considered the best beach club in Playa del Carmen. I enjoy brunch at INTI as the food is excellent, but this beach area is typically busy. This is the best beach club Playa del Carmen offers, centrally located near top sights.

Address: Zona Federal Maritima, Centro, 77710 Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico

Hours: 9 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Phone: +52 984 803 1109

Lido Beach Club Playa del Carmen is about fantastic food, music, and good vibes. I’ve visited Lido many times during my travels to Playa. The food here is delicious, and it’s the perfect spot for breakfast on the beach—there are also plenty of sunbeds to relax for the day.

There’s no need to book a spot at Lido Beach Club unless it’s peak season, when mornings can be busy.

Address: Av. 1era. Norte Bis, Mz. 22, Lote 3, Centro, 77710 Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Indigo Beach Club Playa del Carmen

The Best Beach Clubs Playa del Carmen

A roundup of the best beach clubs Playa del Carmen is home to would be incomplete without Indigo Beach Club, one of my top brunch spots in Playa. Indigo serves buffet-style breakfast until 12:00 p.m. daily for a fixed cost of 169 pesos. After filling up, sleep the day away on a beachfront bed.

Address: Calle 14 y La Playa, Centro, 77710 Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Phone: +52 984 803 2599

One of the best beach clubs in Playa del Carmen is Kool, which offers day passes rather than requiring a minimum spend. Simply pay a fixed price, and (almost) all drinks and a meal are included. The cost is typically 750 pesos, which is well worth it if you plan on drinking alcohol since you can easily spend double this at other clubs. There’s a pool here, and Kool is located on an excellent section of the beach.

Address: Calle 28 y Zona Federal Marítima s/n, Centro, 77720 Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Phone: +52 984 873 1255

Mamita’s Beach Club Playa del Carmen

The Best Beach Clubs Playa del Carmen

Despite being hailed as the best beach club in Playa del Carmen, I’m not a fan of Mamita’s. The food is average and overpriced, and the staff has been rude to me during every visit. Last time I went alone, Mamita’s charged me a solo person fee because they only accommodate couples, what?!

I added Mamita’s Beach Club to this list because many rank it among the best beach clubs Playa del Carmen offers, but I suggest visiting elsewhere.

Address: Mza 10, Lote 8, Calle 28 Nte., Centro, 77710 Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico

Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Phone: +52 984 803 2867

Mandarino Beach Club

For a gorgeous, Instagram-worthy Playa del Carmen beach club, visit Madrarino. The club offers many Instagramable spots, and the pool is picture-perfect. Mandarino is also located in a friendly and quiet area on the beach. This is one of my go-to Playa del Carmen beach clubs when I want to feel fancy and pretend I’m rich and important, haha!

Address: Avenida CTM, Albatros y, Zazil-ha, 77720 Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico

Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Phone: +52 984 110 7752

The Best Beach Clubs Playa del Carmen

Playa Martina is my top choice if I want a lowkey beach club to chill out for the day. I love the Martina Beach Club Playa del Carmen because the prices are reasonable and typically quiet and laid-back. I enjoy renting a bed and kicking my feet up with a book for the day.

You’ll pay around 100 pesos for a bed rental, and the staff is charming and not pushy. The food at Playa Martina is good, and the prices are reasonable. There is a pool here, but there’s an extra fee.

Address: Albatros, Zazil-ha, 77720 Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Phone: +52 984 164 2793

Senor Frog’s Playa del Carmen

I’ve never been to Senor Frog’s Playa del Carmen, and I probably never will. It’s not my scene, and the location near Cozumel Ferry isn’t ideal. That said, it’s not a bad place if you’re visiting Playa del Carmen and looking for a fun, super touristy beach bar.

Playa del Carmen Beach Bars

While these last two places aren’t traditional beach clubs, they have areas to lounge on. I consider them beach bars rather than clubs, and both are worth a visit.

The Carmen Hotel

I have to highlight the Carmen Hotel, which has the vibe of a rooftop bar. Located directly on the beach, you can chill on the hotel’s deck, grab a sunbed, or venture up to Deck Five, the rooftop pool bar.

Address: Calle 8 Nte No 876, Centro, 77710 Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico

Phone: +52 984 803 2409

Zenzi Beach Club Playa del Carmen

Zenzi Playa del Carmen is the best beach bar in Playa del Carmen, in my opinion. I spend a lot of nights there listening to the live salsa band. Zenzi hosts unique events most nights of the week, so check their Facebook for the latest information.

During the day, you can lounge on the beach club’s beds, and as long as you order food, there isn’t an official minimum spend. There’s no swimming pool here, but the food is tasty and reasonably priced.

Address: Calle 10 y la Playa, Centro, 77710 Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico

Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.

🚗 Where can I book bus or private transportation while I’m in Playa Del Carmen?

The 3 best platforms that I normally use are Booking.comHotels.com, and Expedia They offer great deals and multiple options. I always check all three to be sure of the best deals.

Saturday 21st of January 2023

Hi, I booked a condo this November 1 block away from Martina beach club and I’m worried about noise. Early reviews 2017 and up were terrible but now they seem to have things more calm. Do you know if they still have banging music day/night? Kind regards,

Marc from London..

Mummmm. Honestly anywhere in the center of town is noisy. The club is still playing music yes. But I'm not sure how loud. I'm not there right now so can't tell you about the current situation, sorry!

You are so right about Mamita’s just last week I vowed to never spend a peso with them ever again. The worst part is they are right behind my house and I get free chairs there... such a shame that place is so terrible.

When I first moved here EVERYONE was telling me to go there. And I finally did. First and last time! There is a new place I'm hoping to check out in a few weeks between Playa and Myokoba and the min spend is very low. Looks amazing! I think in general the beach clubs away from the center are far better (and less crowded).
